Military MBA Scholarships

Updated UpdatedIn addition to the QS Scholarship Programs, we also seek to include lists of alternative scholarships, such as those below, for your ease of reference.
Active duty military and veterans often apply to school-specific scholarships to supplement what is provided for them by the G.I. Bill (see below.) In addition, many business schools set up their scholarship program so that veterans are automatically considered for Military MBA scholarships. Read on for more information about the GI bill and examples of schools that provide military scholarships for MBAs.
Post 9/11 GI Bill
What it covers: Partial tuition equal to the cost of the highest cost undergraduate degree program in the state. Required fees up to the maximum allowable. Monthly living allowance based on the zip code where the school is located. $1,000 yearly book and supply allowance.
Yellow Ribbon Program
Who it's for: Veterans entitled to the maximum benefit rate applying to a participating school.
What it covers: All resident tuition & fees for a public school or the higher of the actual tuition & fees or $17,500 per academic year for a private school. (There is an exception for students enrolled in private schools in some states -- see website for more details.)
Montgomery G.I. Bill
Who it's for: Members who enroll and pay $100 per month for 12 months and have completed a minimum service obligation
What it covers: A monthly education benefit
Military MBA Merit Scholarship
Who it's for: U.S. residents with Bachelor's degrees.
What it covers: $5,000 toward education at one of their member schools including Duke, UCLA and UC Berkeley
Total Number of Scholarships: 4
Ohio State University - U.S. Military Fellowship
Who it's for: Former and current US Military enlisted and officer personnel that have served on active duty.
What it covers: $10,000 toward education an MBA from the Fisher College of Business
Total Number of Scholarships: 5
Deadline: Rolling, but early applications are encouraged
Ohio State University - Evelyn Michael MBA Fellowship
Who it's for: MBA students who will contribute to the diversity of the Fisher College of Business, with special consideration given to U.S. military and minorities.
What it covers: $12,000 toward education an MBA from the Fisher College of Business
Total Number of Scholarships: 2
Deadline: Rolling, but early applications are encouraged
University of Virginia - Col. James L. Fowler USMC Scholarship Fund
Who it's for: Students with honorable military experience. Preference is given to members or veterans of the United States Marine Corps (USMC) or the United States Marine Corps Reserves.
What it covers: Full tuition
University of Virginia - John and Mary Kay Strangfeld Scholarship
Who it's for: Students with honorable military experience.
What it covers: Half of tuition
University of Virginia - G. Gilmer Minor III Military Scholarship
Who it's for: Students with honorable military experience.
What it covers: One third of tuition
Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Veterans Association Scholarships
Who it's for: Applicants who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
What it covers: Partial or full tuition
Total Number of Scholarships: 6 $5,000 scholarships and 2 $10,000 awards
Application process: Admitted military candidates are automatically considered for the scholarship.
University of Pittsburgh - Katz Military Scholarship
Who it's for: Applicants with military leadership experience
What it covers: $5,000-10,000
Total Number of Scholarships: 6 $5,000 scholarships and 2 $10,000 awards
Application process: Admitted military candidates are automatically considered for the scholarship.
